The best decision of my life!

In Discipleship, JG Teens

I gave my heart to God after days of hesitation and thinking. And I have never once regretted that decision.

I first came to Acts in 2013 when I was 14. I came for The Shoebox Project through an invitation from my friend, Sim Jae Han, who is from Acts.

I chose to root in Acts because of the warmth I felt. The welcoming spirit, and also Jae Han’s persistency, brought me back time and again. The friendships I’ve built here is all the more reason for me to stay on as I feel at home everytime I step into the church.

I’ve grown a lot since coming to Acts. I used to swear a lot before I found Christ and I’m always reminded that the mouth that curses is the same mouth we use to pray to God. Now I’m swearing much less and I also have grown a lot spiritually and mentally. The Word and teachings from the pastors and fellow church members have really led me to become a better person for Jesus through Jesus. My experience at Acts has truly been a blessing.

After some time, I finally accepted Christ on the last day of Acts Teens Camp 2015. During the salvation call in the last session, I gave my heart to God after days of hesitation and thinking. And I have never once regretted that decision.

I also started serving recently at The Shoebox Project 2015 by singing for Actstream. I started serving because Jae Han asked me to sing for The Shoebox Project and also because I was trying to find a way to serve God in what I’m good at. And what better way to serve than praising and worshipping God through singing.

Through serving, I’ve realised that praise and worship should be Christ-centred and we should sing our hearts out for God and not for anybody else. The same goes for any other form of serving in that we serve God not because we should or we were forced to but because we want to and we should do everything joyfully for God is good! Rogie Vachon Authentic Jersey Gilbert Perreault Authentic Jersey
